The Illuminated Books of William Blake Re-created explains how Michael Phillips has been able to re-create the original relief-etched copper plates of Blake's illuminated books that disappeared in the nineteenth century. Impressions are printed from the plates on old papers using historic pigments mixed to match the same coloured inks that Blake used. Printed entirely by hand, individual plates or sets of plates from the illuminated books are available either to be printed to order or from stock.
