Listed below is a selection of impressions from the Illuminated Books individually priced and including a few pairs of prints and small sets.
All have been printed on old English hand-made off-white wove papers torn to the same sizers that Blake printed on (280 x 190 and 390 x 280 mm). The colours of ink match those that Blake mixed to print with and have been mixed as he did from historic dry pigments including yellow ochre, gamboge, Prussian blue, vermillion, madder lake and bone black.
As each plate has been carefully inked by hand it is impossible to duplicate the same layering and grainy texture of the ink when the plate is again prepared for printing with the result that, like Blake’s originals, no two impressions are the same and each is unique.
The price includes mounting each print in off-white acid-free, board ready for framing. A description printed in letterpress is also included explaining how the relief-etched copper plates have been re-created and how the impressions have been printed.
There is also a complete list of all of the replica relief-etched copper plates of the Illuminated Books that have been made. Any one or group of these plates can be printed to order. A unique set of 30 plates from the Songs of Innocence and of Experience printed on a beautifully textured off-white wove paper torn to the size (200 x 130 mm.) that Blake issued the first copies, many sheets with watermark.
This is a very delicate set of 30 of the most famous plates from Innocence and from Experience printed in shades of charcoal brown ink heavily embossed to create a ‘ghost’ of the relief-etched copper plate.
Presented in a drop-back archival box with label and description of how the replica prints have been made printed in letterpress, with wrapper.
Limited Edition. A set of 30 plates from the Songs of Innocence and of Experience printed in shades of very dark charcoal brown ink on the finest English off-white wove paper torn to the size Blake used (290 x 195 mm.).
Each set is contained in an old paper wrapper similar to the paper wrappers Blake used to issued his sets. The set is then presented in an archival drop-back box covered in eighteenth-century style blue sugar paper together with a matching sewn pamphlet printed in letterpress describing how the exact replica relief-etched copper plates were made and printed. The colophon of the pamphlet notes the number of the set.

A complete set of all 27 plates of The Marriage of Heaven and Hell printed on a beautifully textured off-white wove paper torn to the size (270 x 195 mm.) that Blake issued the first copies; some sheets with watermark in blind.
This is a very delicate set of all 27 plates of The Marriage of Heaven and Hell printed in different colours of ink as Blake printed the first copies, and heavily embossed to create a ‘ghost’ of the relief-etched copper plate.
